The Acid-Alkali Metering Cylinder is a precision pH-control companion device for the synthesis of UF resin and melamine adhesives in wood-based panel production. Available in two forms — high-level metering tanks and transparent graduated cylinders — it delivers controlled doses of formic acid and sodium hydroxide regulators, precisely governing glue pH inside reactors. It is a critical unit for stabilizing glue formulas, controlling free formaldehyde content, and eliminating panel delamination.
Glue-making relies entirely on accurate acid-alkali dosing to regulate pH. Excessive pH swings cause erratic glue curing speed, reduced panel bonding strength, and excessive formaldehyde. This corrosion-resistant metering cylinder features high durability and dosing accuracy, and can operate in sync with fully automatic reactor feeding systems to support complete glue production lines.
